The Fall 2007 semester marked a striking shift in the status quo of Club Sports; having existed independent of each other for years, that fall was the first time when all 14 club sports collaborated in pursuit of a common goal. While the more than 250 club sports athletes initially only joined together in calling upon the administration to heed their requests for greater safety measures, it was clear that this was merely the beginning.
As a result of their weekly meetings, the group decided to turn their haphazard group of athletes into a veritable Club Sports Council (CSC). Ratified by representatives from 12 different club sports, the CSC held its first meetings in February 2008. The charter was later approved in May 2008 by the college's chartering process.
