The Flying Horsecows - Men's Ultimate Team

The team was founded by Doug Powers in 1976 as a co-ed team which played their first college game against RPI. Soon afterwards the team began to play in the college open division.

The Flying Horsecows are now a part of the Great Lakes region and East Plains section of the Ultimate Players Association (UPA) College Division (www.upa.org).

The club is able to maintain both an A (competitive level) and B level team. Around 35 players are members of the club. During the Fall 2007 season, the Horsecows co-hosted a home tournament with the women's team, the Preying Manti. Over 20 teams came from around the Midwest and Notheast to play competitive ultimate at Oberlin for the two-day tournament titled Force Freedom, which the Horsecows won. The Horsecows have made four trips to the College Nationals, having appeared in 1992, 1995, 1997, & 1999. In the spring of 2004, the 'Cows finished second at Regionals losing in the backdoor semifinals to The Ohio State University.
