It's that time again everyone! THE WINTER TERM OPERA HAS ARRIVED.
What is winter term you ask? Well, at Oberlin, students complete individual or group projects on something interesting or something they've never attempted before. For this special task, the Oberlin opera theater turns to modern English operas such as last year's Too Many Sopranos.
This year, we've been hard at work with two one act operas: Review, by Jeremy Beck, and The Power of Xingu by James Legg.
Before the sneak-peek....let's hear a little synopsis, shall we?
Well....Review is about a group of people in heaven who like to make fun of the living.
The Power of Xingu is about four small town ladies in the 1930s who invite a famous NY socialite author to their lunch club. Much drama ensues.
And now....LET THE SNEAK PEEK BEGIN!
THIS SATURDAY @8PM AND SUNDAY @2PM BE PREPARED TO SEE: (drumroll)
