"I am playing Bonafede: a dim, bitter, and sadistic chauvinist who is infatuated with his maid. Fortunately, he is more stupid than cruel, so everything turns out okay in the end."

"I am looking forward to playing a comedic role and having the opportunity to work with my classmates to make people laugh. Something like that."

Carlos Santelli '14 (Ecclitico, Wednesday/Saturday)

"What I have to say about Ecclitico.... He's a trickster, very intelligent and sure of himself. He's one of those people that can think themselves out of anything but also has a great sense of humor."

"Ecclitico is an all around fun guy, and I'm excited to dive into such a fun character."

Daniel McGrew '15 (Ecclitico, Friday/Sunday)

Lauren Kelleher '13 (Clarice, Wednesday/Saturday)

Lauren Kelleher 001

"Clarice is a spirited young woman who has had enough of her father's strict rules
and is ready to start a life of her own."

"I am thrilled to be portraying the sassy and lively character of
Clarice in the upcoming production of Il mondo della luna!"

Aubry Ballaro-Hagadorn '14 (Clarice, Friday/Sunday)

"I am playing the role of Clarice, the daughter of Buonafede, who is spunky, independent, and certainly not afraid to speak her mind!"

"I am most looking forward to collaborating with my fellow cast mates to make our performances something truly special and enjoyable for our audiences."

Meryl Dominguez '15 (Flaminia, Wednesday/Saturday)

2 sized

"I'm playing Flaminia, one of Buonafede's daughters. I am very serious, and a total stickler for the rules, but Ernesto, my boyfriend in the Opera, brings out my excitable, fun, romantic side."

"I'm excited to work with all of my friends. My good friend Nicole Levesque plays my fiance! That will be really fun...Also excited for the costumes... I have heard some pretty crazy rumors about them and I am totally ready to play dress up!"

Rose Williams '15 (Flaminia, Friday/Sunday)

"Flaminia is the daughter of a crotchety old man who likes to be in charge. She is rather ditzy and not used to having her own thoughts. She gets over that quickly, however, and yields to love in good opera fashion."

"I am most excited to sing with an orchestra. It is the most exhilarating feeling! I cannot wait to work with all of the wonderful musicians that are in my cast. I know I will learn so much from all of them."

Natasha Thweatt '15 (Lisetta, Wednesday/Saturday)

"My role is Lisetta, Bonafede's sassy maid, with whom both Bonafede and Cecco are smitten. What luck! Though merely a servant, Lisetta uses her wiles to get what she wants and truly proves herself to be above the rest."

"I am most excited for the point when the show is perfected and we can have fun!"

Marisa Novak '15 (Lisetta, Friday/Sunday)

"I am playing Lisetta, the smart and sassy maid who is the object of Bonafede's affection. Using her feminine wiles, she manages to manipulate the bumbling Bonafede and ends up with Cecco, the man of her dreams!"

"I am most excited at the prospect of playing such a sasstastic saucy lady, and on the moon no less!"

Nicole Levesque '14 (Ernesto, Wednesday/Saturday)

Headshotnikki

"I'm singing Ernesto in the Wednesday/Saturday cast. Ernesto is a fantastic character because, due to his noble status, he has few cares other than those of his heart. He can (and does!) fully indulge in his emotions and Romantic ideals, which is a luxury not a lot of characters have."

"You can't read through this opera without getting excited! It's such a whimsical, cheeky, sexy, cute piece. I can't wait to see what everyone does with their characters as the piece is fleshed out."

Amelia Keenan '15 (Ernesto, Friday/Sunday)

"I am playing Ernesto, he is a mid-twenties, upper middle class son of a Baron. He is deeply in love with Bonafede's daughter, Flaminia, and his main objective throughout the opera is winning her hand in marriage by helping Ecclitico deceive her father."

"I am most excited about singing with an orchestra, I think it will be extremely nerve-racking, but also very thrilling, not to mention it's a great experience!"

There you have it folks! Our leading men, and ladies! Check back soon for more exciting details and photos about the cast and production team!
