"An opera begins long before the curtain goes up and ends long after it has come down. It starts in my imagination, it becomes my life, and it stays part of my life long after I've left the opera house."

-Maria Callas

Welcome to the Oberlin Opera Theater Blog, Too Many Notes!

My name is Emily Peragine, I am a junior Voice Major in the conservatory, and so excited to get the blog back up on it's feet!

The site has been under some construction, and we are finally back to bring you news about the upcoming performances at Oberlin, students, alumni, and just about everything Opera!

Over the course of the next few weeks, we will be covering the new Fall 2012 production of Il Mondo della Luna by Franz Joseph Haydn.

Check back soon for new posts, fun photos, updates, guest writers, and news about the production!
