Oberlin College Winter Term

What is Winter Term?

Winter term is the break between fall and spring semesters, when Oberlin students focus on a single project for the entire month of January. For many of us, it's a chance to explore the world and seek adventures outside of Oberlin. For others, winter term offers the freedom to pursue a campus-based project for which the semester's intensity leaves inadequate time.

To capture the spectrum of winter term projects, we asked students to contribute their photos. Submissions range from the top of Kilimanjaro to the Mad River Valley in Vermont; Prague to Washington, DC; Seattle to Oberlin.
