Hannah Scott

Hannah studied traumatic brain injury at the VA Hospital in Cleveland. First, she examined rats with brain damage, then tested antibodies on their brain tissue, making slides to view in a microscope. This picture shows an immunofluorescence view of the antibody NeuN on a damaged rat brain (NeuN stains for damaged neurons). She related the results she found with the rat brains to what happens to veterans of war that suffer from traumatic brain injury.
