Emmanuel volunteered at a homeless shelter for terminally ill patients, mostly suffering from AIDS, in Penang, Malaysia. In the picture, he is discussing Buddhist texts in Chinese with one of the residents. Originally from Zimbabwe, Emmanuel found the experience of being in a Muslim country, and using Chinese to communicate, invaluable.
