Melissa Atlas
Melissa worked as a Volunteer Dog Handler at MCHumane, the Montgomery County Humane Society. At the animal shelter, Melissa handled adoption visits, walking the dogs, and cleaning cages. Her main goal for this project was to help homeless animals go to good homes by getting to know each dog, providing helpful information for potential adopters. In the picture, Melissa sits with one of her favorite dogs at the shelter, Brewster, an "extremely lovable and cuddly" bulldog and pit bull mix.
