Professor Dan Stinebring
Professor Stinebring sponsored a project on Pulsar Research at Arecibo Observatory, taking Willie Kunert, Alex Spatzier, Karen Ressler, and Chris Haddad to Puerto Rico. The group observed pulsars, using the world's largest radio telescope: three football fields across and 500 feet in the air. Their research hoped to discern details about the interstellar medium: in particular, the existence of gravitational waves.
